An incredible storm unleashed heavy rain and wind on Loretta's on Tuesday night but Wednesday morning dawned bright and beautiful. The damage had been done to the track however, and the track crew worked hard all day to keep it in shape for the riders. The class championships are shaping up as some riders entered their second motos. Let's look at each moto to see what happened.
Vet B/C 30 Plus-- Larry Shull took the holeshot, followed by Michael Brewer and Glen Myatt. Shull was in command, and then almost went down but recovered as Brewer edged up. Brewer became the new leader as Shull wobbled. Shull stayed in second. Shull swapped back in lead with Brewer 7 seconds behind. Brewer took the lead back as Shull went off the off-camber. Pascal Barth moved into in second, with Glen Myatt in third. Shull showed up in fifth behind Mark Bradley. When the white flag went out, Brewer, Barth and Myatt were in the lead but that the checkers, Barth took the win, with Brewer in second and Myatt in third.
250 C Stock-- Anthony Romero, Chris Carillo, Tracy Morgan were in 1-3 at the beginning of the race. Romero stayed in the lead, followed by Carrillo in second and Tracy Morgan in third. Carrillo and Romero gapped the field in the 5th lap and Morgan was 43 seconds behind. Carrillo, Romero and Morgan were 1st-3rd
Schoolboy 2 (14-16) B/C-- Eli Tomac looked strong again. He was in the lead early. David Buller Jr was in second followed by Justin Bogle. Mud was flying so high, it was on the top of the announcer's tower. Tomac clocked the fastest lap at 2:23:329. Frace was back in the second lap, and moved up to third place. Tomac was up to a 36 second lead. Tomac is First, Bogle is second and Frace is third.
250 A-- Futrell in first, followed by Ian Trettel and Dean Wilson.No change at all. They soldiered through the mud.
250 B Stock-Kyle Goerke was the story of the day, he ran the holeshot, fell back and worked his way back up to third place. Michael Leib, Edward Allingham, Frank Letteri Jr. were the first three to lead. Leib had lead at end of second lap, followed by Zachary Coons and Seth Rarick. Leib still in first, Austin Politelli took second and Zach Coons took third. Kyle Goerke moved into third, out of nowhere. Leib, Politelli and Goerke running 1st-3rd still.
65(7-9) Stock-- Michael Mosiman, Justin Dunn and Sean Cantrell took the class from start to finish. Mosiman wins by 51 seconds followed by Dunn and Cantrell.
65 (10-11) Stock-- Tyler Kirschner, Chase Bell and Drake Degaynor(holeshot) take the lead at the beginning. Chase Bell moved into first with Kirschner pushed to second and Brandon Gourley in third. Buddy Wentworth moved into third but Kade Walker found his way around. Wentworth just passed Walker. Wentworth gone all of a sudden. Bell, Kirschner and Walker--Wentworth goes to 5th. Walker gets around Kirschner. Bell, Walker, Kirschner on the podium. 1-3.
Women ages 14+-- Women ages 14+ had a ton of surprises as Elizabeth Bash had the holeshot but fell after the finish line and fell to the back of the pack. Leah Cantrell and Alexah Pearson were right behind and picked up her place. Alexah stayed in first and Bash moved back up 20th from back of the pack. Shelbie Brittain powered into fourth out of nowhere and then moved into second. Pearson held hard to first, Cantrell in third. Pearson had a 54 second lead at the end. Alexah Pearson in first, Leah Cantrell in second, Shelbie Brittain in third.
85 (12-13) Modified-- Masterpool was out front early and dominated. Aaron Plessinger started in second and Thomas Covington in third. Adam Cianciarulo played in the back in fourth. Plessinger moved in on Masterpool while Cianciarulo went down and lost a spot. Cianciarulo moved back to 5th. Bisceglia moved to second, and Covington in third. Cianciarulo moved past Covington. Jesse Masterpool takes first, Bisceglia takes second, and Cianciarulo in third.
85 (9-11) Stock -- Hunter Hilton, Alexander Frye and Blake Green are 1-3. Then, Blake Green moved into first place, and followed by Hunter Hilton and Jeremy Hand. Henry Miller moved into third. Green and Hilton stayed in first and second. Hand made last minute move to overtake Miller. Green took first, Hilton, second and Hilton, third.
Four Stroke -- Malcolm Stewart was on a roll early on. Shane Durham and Johnny (b.Goode) Moore round out the top 3. Garrett Toth moved into third.Moore moved to 5th.It's Stewart, Durham and Toth in lap 3. Heath Harrison made his way to fourth place. Harrison moved into third. Toth moved into second behind Stewart and Heath Harrison remained in third.Toth and Harrison switched places as Toth moved to third and Harrison to second. Stewart had a 14 second lead in lap 8. Stewart clocked the fastest time so far Tuesday at 2:04:446.Durham remained in fourth.
Super Mini 1 (12-15) - Zachary Bell in first, followed by Matt Bisceglia and Cole Thompson. Five laps in and that's still where we were.
Senior 40 Plus-Doug Doubach took the holeshot. Doubach lead the charge. Trampas Parker in a close second followed by John Grewe. Michael Treadwell in fourth. Treadwell moved up to third as Grewe moved to fourth.Treadwell moved on Parker and passed him in the 5th lap. Parker moved to third. Then in the 6th lap, Parker and Treadwell switched again and Parker took second and Treadwell third. Dubach, Parker and Treadwell take 1st-3rd respectively.
250 C Modified - Christian Young took first at the lead, followed by Bailey Mason and Zach Patterson. Aaron Lampi moved into second in lap two and Bailey Mason fell to third.Jesse Pierce took his turn in third place as Mason fell to 5th. While Young stayed 15 seconds ahead in lap 5, Elliot pushed his way to second from fourth and Lampi fell to third. Jesse Pierce moved in on Lampi in the final turn as Young takes an effortless first, followed by Elliot in second and Pierce in third.
250 B Modified - Eli Tomac dominated yet another race as he took the lead early in the race, followed by familiar face Grant Ransdell and James Justice. Bryce Stewart took over third as Justice fell to fourth. Zackery Freeber in sixth making a move? Randsell moved into third and Freeberg moved into 5th. Freeberg took third in the 5th lap. Randsell in second. Tomac, Randsell and Freeberg.
450 A - Justin Weeks took the lead around the first lap with Garrett Toth in second and Sean Lipanovich in third. Malcolm Stewart moved into the number 3 spot in the third lap and Lipanovich moved to fourth. Stewart moved up to second and Les Smith made it up to third in the 7th lap.
Vet 35 Plus -- Kevin Walker out front. Johnson and Treadwell close behind in Vet 35 Plus. Johnson passed Walker on lap 3, Treadwell behind in 3rd. Johnson lead lap 5, followed by Walker and Treadwell. John Grewe inched up on Treadwell. Johnson, Walker and Treadwell for the win.
85 (12-13) Stock -- Cianciarulo out in front followed by Thomas Covington and Jesse Masterpool in 85 (12-13) Stock. Cianciarulo and Covington battling, Covington just passed. Covington in lead, followed by Cianciarulo and then Nick Gains about 13 seconds back. Covington and Cianciarulo were heel-to-heel lap 3. Plessinger down in front of the announcer's tower. Masterpool nowhere to be seen. Covington and Cianciarulo tried so hard to unseat each other. It's down to the wire. .3 of a second apart. Cianciarulo looked at gas tank and now down behind Covington. Cianciarulo dropped further and further behind but still held on for second for the win, Covington grabbed first and Nick Gains got third.
