Ricky Carmichael, MX Sports and the MillCreek Spring Classic
Weekend Race Schedules

Morgantown, W.Va (February 8, 2011) - Ricky Carmichael, MX Sports and MillCreek have worked together to clarify the weekend schedule for their respective events.   Families wishing to participate in both the Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur Supercross and the MillCreek Spring Classic are able to do so.

The Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur Supercross is scheduled to be complete by 9 p.m. Sunday evening, so those wishing to go to MillCreek will have no problem getting to Pell City Alabama.

"As an involved amateur rider once myself, I understand how important it is to race as many of the premier amateur events as possible.  I think it's awesome that these promoters are working so hard to make sure that riders and families can have the opportunity to hit all these events," said Ricky Carmichael, 15-Time Champion and Principal of RCU.

For those wishing to participate in Ricky Carmichael University, MillCreek will be happy to make accommodations for late arrivals coming from RCU.

"It is a pleasure to be working with Ricky and MX Sports in a combined effort to host some of the best racing opportunities for amateur riders.  We will extend our late arrival hours on Monday, until 3:00 a.m., for those wishing to make the drive from Daytona.  For all RCU participants, there will be a special late practice on Tuesday afternoon to ensure everyone gets an opportunity to practice before racing begins on Wednesday," said Allen McWilliams, owner of RPM Sports and MillCreek MX Park.

Keeping in mind the importance of the amateur racing circuit, MX Sports, Daytona International Speedway and MillCreek MX Park are working together to accommodate all of the riders and their families in the best way possible.

Tim Cotter, Director of MX Sports, says "We are very lucky to have a great relationship with the McWilliams family at Mill Creek.  Together, we have developed a schedule that will allow racing families to attend both of these marquee events.

Daytona Amateur Supercross move-in begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, followed by the Pro Supercross in the afternoon/evening.  On Sunday, Amateur practice begins at 7:30 a.m., followed by racing at 10 a.m. - which should wrap up around 9 p.m. Sunday evening. Monday morning kicks off with RCU breakfast at 8 a.m. in the Daytona Driver's Meeting Room, followed by the first instruction session at 9 a.m.  RCU Graduation takes place at 5:15 p.m. at Daytona International Speedway and then riders can make their way to MillCreek MX Park.

According to Google, it is 515 miles from Daytona International Speedway to MillCreek Motocross Park, making the trip a smooth 9 hour drive.

MillCreek move-in is available Monday and Tuesday for riders and families participating in Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross and RCU.  Practice begins at 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 8.  Racing begins on Wednesday with practice at 8 a.m.  For more information or questions about the MillCreek Spring Classic, please contact millcreekmx@aol.com.
