How do I qualify for Loretta's?
To qualify for the AMA Amateur and Youth National Motocross Championships you must participate in a two-tier qualifying system.
1. The United States is divided into seven regions. There is a maximum of eight Area Qualifiers in each region. You must first attend at least one Area Qualifier and finish in an advancement position. The number of riders guaranteed to advance to the Regional Championships are as follows:

You may attend as many Area Qualifiers as you choose in as many Regions as you choose.
2. If you place in an advancement position you will then be invited to the Regional Championship in the area in which you qualified. Again you must finish in an advancement position to be invited to the National Championship at Loretta Lynn's. The number of riders guaranteed to advance to the Loretta Lynn's National Championship are as follows:

Example:
I live in New Jersey and finished 6th in the 125C class at Budds Creek, Maryland. (Northeast region)
Question: Can I go to the Regional at Red Bud Michigan? (Mid-East region)
Answer: NO, you must attend the regional at Broome Tioga. It is the designated Regional for the Northeast region.
Ok, I went to the Action Sports Area Qualifier in Ohio (Mid-East region) as well and finished 3rd.
Question: Can I go to the Red Bud Michigan Regional? (Mid-East region)
Answer: YES, a rider can race in as many Area Qualifiers in as many Regions as he or she chooses.
